Teltonika GPS Trackers in Qatar

Teltonika GPS trackers supplied, configured and installed in Qatar — FMB920, FMB140 and FMC150 fitted by our own technicians and running on the Trackntraces platform.

Rapport Group buys Teltonika hardware and installs it across Qatar. It is the same hardware behind the 15,000+ vehicles on our platform, and the reason we can quote a per-vehicle price that covers the device, the fitting and the software rather than three separate invoices.

Teltonika is a Lithuanian manufacturer whose trackers are used by fleets worldwide. They matter here for three practical reasons: the range covers everything from a pool car to a tanker, the units read vehicle data over the CAN bus rather than guessing at it, and the same device family runs on 2G or 4G so a fleet can be specified for the network it will still be using in five years.

The three models below cover almost every fleet we deploy in Qatar. Every figure is from Teltonika's own datasheets — nothing here is a marketing number.

Hardware is bought outright rather than rented, so the units are yours. We configure them for your vehicles before they leave us, fit them at your yard anywhere in Qatar, and support them afterwards with a local team on Qatar time.

The hardware

Teltonika trackers we fit in Qatar

01

FMB920 — the compact one

79 × 43 × 12 mm, 54 g, quad-band 2G, GPS/GLONASS/Galileo/BeiDou, Bluetooth 4.0 LE, 170 mAh backup battery, 1 digital input / 1 output / 1 analogue, 6–30 V, IP54. Location, ignition, trips, geofences, over-speed and towing detection. The right unit for cars, vans, pickups and rental fleets.

02

FMB140 — reads the vehicle

2G, with a CAN adapter built in: dashboard fuel level, total fuel consumption, wheel speed, driven distance, engine RPM and accelerator position straight from the vehicle's electronics. 3 digital inputs, 2 outputs, 2 analogue, 1-Wire for driver ID or temperature probes. 65 × 56.6 × 20.6 mm, 10–30 V, IP41.

03

FMC150 — the same, on 4G

The FMB140 with an LTE Cat 1 modem and 2G fallback. Identical CAN reading, inputs and case. For Qatar, specify the variant covering LTE bands B1/B3/B7/B8/B20/B28. The model to buy for vehicles you intend to keep and for anything under an IVMS contract.

04

Driver ID and sensors

iButton and RFID readers for named-driver logging, calibrated fuel-level probes for tanks the CAN bus will not report, and temperature probes for refrigerated loads — all on the 1-Wire and analogue inputs of the FMB140 and FMC150.

05

Configured before it ships

Trackers arrive at your yard already configured for your vehicles and connected to your account, so the fitting is a fitting rather than a commissioning exercise.

06

Installed by our own technicians

We fit the units ourselves anywhere in Qatar — Doha and the Industrial Area, Al Rayyan, Al Wakrah, Al Khor, Lusail, Umm Salal — and plan the work around your operation rather than taking the fleet off the road at once.

FAQ

Teltonika trackers in Qatar — common questions

The FMB920 if you need location, ignition, trips, geofences and over-speed alerts — cars, vans, pickups, rentals. The FMB140 if you need CAN-bus fuel and engine data or driver ID, on a budget. The FMC150 if you need that on 4G, which is what we recommend for vehicles you expect to keep for years and for anything under an IVMS contract.
It depends on the vehicle. The FMB140 and FMC150 read dashboard fuel level, total consumption, RPM and driven distance over the CAN bus on supported makes, models and years — send us your vehicle list and we will tell you what each one will give up before anything is ordered. Where a vehicle will not report it, a calibrated tank-level probe does the same job.
It works today. Qatar's Communications Regulatory Authority required both operators to switch off 3G at the end of 2025 to free spectrum for 4G and 5G, and no public date has been announced for 2G. Because a tracker fitted now stays on the vehicle for five years or more, we recommend 4G (FMC150) for long-life vehicles and the cheaper 2G units for fleets that turn over quickly.
Our deployments are hardware, installation and the Trackntraces platform as one per-vehicle price — that is what lets us support the whole chain when something needs attention. Talk to us about what you need and we will tell you plainly whether we are the right supplier for it.
Teltonika hardware carries the manufacturer's warranty, and because we fit and support the units ourselves the replacement and the re-fit are handled by the same team rather than passed between a supplier and an installer.
